However I think maybe it should be a case of double soft counter. The reason Zenyatta is a soft counter to Roadhog is because of his Orb. Thats one area im kinda stuck on for this sheet is, should I have every possible soft or hard counter, or should only prioritize those that really shine. I am just not sure if that enough qualifies as a soft counter when so many people already do. Symmetra is an interesting one since she does 100 damage. As for reaper, I think he should just be a soft counter because he does have to get up close and "risk" a little bit to make the plays. Plus his healing allows him to do it without to much risk. I hadnt thought about that, between Helix rockets and his 100% accuracy to poke down the turret. I really like the idea about Soldier being at least a Soft counter to Torb. Reaper up close can wreck the turret (provided he's full health and doesn't miss), and Soldier's Helix Rockets/controlled bursts also do well against it from range. ![]() I've had great success against Torbjorns of all shapes and sizes as both Reaper and Soldier. I guess it all has to do with the range, but in any case, I think McCree could show up as a counter to Soldier. I'm not sure about Soldier countering McCree, and I think you could definitely make the case that McCree counters (read: owns) Soldier in close range. Roadhog does pretty well against Zenyatta, so I suppose another soft counter ("just" the hook combo). Symmetra's orbs counter Bastion, so a soft counter I guess. Either way, in my experience this means the bastion will either position in a much less optimal spot because of cart pressure or give up entirely if he's being countered and swap. Here are some observations, if you think they're worth anything, you could update the spreadsheet. If your team coordinates instead of trickling in, you could either burst down reinhardt shield as a team (2k is a lot but not for 4+ players laying it out) or aim at the bastion behind him and remove reinhardt's reason for being there. Mobile assault heroes like Genji could wreak havoc on their back line (most likely junkrats, torbjorns and widowmakers/hanzos)Īnd b) their strategy is based on the concept that they won't be rooted out of their hole. This does mean that a) at least 2 of their 6 players will be locked down in that vantage point for the foreseeable future. The strategy is effective because of its simplicity: back into a corner, throw a shield up in front and have (preferably a damage boosted) bastion holding down LMB like a pro. ![]() Other than that, you'd need ult combos like mei/Hanzo, dva/reinhardt, etc. Reaper melts Reinhardt with his meatshots and remember while deployed (turret mode) bastion gains an additional critical area on his back so anything that can splash behind him (pharah and Junkrat primaries) makes him go poof.
